Why I Call My Services Rituals

People often ask me why I call the treatments at Sol Aesthetics “rituals” instead of simply facials.

And honestly… because they became so much more than facials to me.

When I first entered the beauty industry, I loved skincare for the visible transformation it could create. Helping someone feel confident in their skin was always rewarding. But over time, after working closely with hundreds of clients, I began noticing something deeper happening inside the treatment room.

People were not only coming in with skin concerns.

They were carrying stress.
Burnout.
Exhaustion.
Tension held in the jaw, scalp, neck, and shoulders.
Nervous systems stuck in constant survival mode.

Some clients would fall asleep within minutes of me starting their treatment because it was the first time their body had fully relaxed all week.

Others would leave emotional without fully understanding why.

And that was the moment I realized this work was never just about skincare.

Touch heals.
Presence heals.
Feeling safe heals.

That realization completely changed the way I approached treatments at Sol Aesthetics.

I no longer wanted appointments to feel rushed, cold, or transactional. I wanted every experience to feel intentional — a moment where someone could disconnect from the noise outside and reconnect with themselves again.

That is where the word ritual came from.

To me, a ritual is something done with intention.

It is slowing down enough to become present.
It is creating space for restoration.
It is allowing the body and nervous system to soften.
It is combining results-driven skincare with grounding, sculpting, healing touch, and energy.

At Sol Aesthetics, my rituals are designed to support both the skin and the nervous system.

This is why many of my treatments incorporate things like:

  • lymphatic drainage
  • Gua Sha sculpting
  • buccal massage
  • scalp tension release
  • intentional touch
  • calming frequencies and music
  • Reiki and energetic grounding
  • breath and relaxation
  • customized corrective skincare

Because beauty is not only about what we see on the surface.

True radiance often happens when the body feels safe enough to relax.

I believe stress shows up physically.
I believe tension affects the face.
I believe energy matters.
And I believe people deserve experiences that help them feel cared for beyond aesthetics alone.

Of course, I still care deeply about results.

I love corrective skincare. I love helping clients improve acne, inflammation, texture, dehydration, and overall skin health. But I also believe the experience itself matters just as much as the outcome.

How you feel during a treatment matters.
How your nervous system responds matters.
How your body holds stress matters.

That is why I call them rituals.

Because my goal is not simply to perform a service.

My goal is to create an experience where you leave feeling lighter, softer, grounded, sculpted, restored, and more connected to yourself than when you walked in.

At Sol Aesthetics, skincare is more than surface-level beauty.

It is intentional care.
It is restoration.
It is energy.
It is healing touch.
It is a return to self.

And that is something I believe should never feel rushed.
