The 5-Minute Ritual I Do Before Every Client

Before every client walks into my treatment room, I take a few minutes to reset the space — and myself.
Not because it sounds luxurious.
Not because it is trendy.
But because energy matters more than most people realize.
When someone comes in for a treatment at Sol Aesthetics, I never want it to feel like they are simply checking another appointment off their list. I want them to feel safe. Seen. Able to finally exhale.
And I’ve learned that starts long before the treatment itself begins.
Over the years, I realized clients do not only absorb the products being applied to their skin.
They absorb the environment.
The pace.
The energy in the room.
The presence of the person treating them.
People can feel when someone is rushed.
People can feel when someone is grounded.
People can feel when care is intentional.
So before every ritual, I create a moment of pause.
Sometimes it looks simple:
- adjusting the lighting
- cleansing the energy of the room
- slowing my breathing
- putting on calming frequencies or music
- setting an intention for the treatment
- taking a deep breath before opening the door
Other times, it is placing my hands on the treatment bed for a moment and mentally reminding myself:
This person deserves care.
This person deserves presence.
This person deserves to feel restored.
It may sound small, but I truly believe people feel the difference.
We live in a world where everything feels rushed.
Fast beauty.
Fast conversations.
Fast appointments.
Fast results.
Most people spend their days overstimulated, carrying stress in their bodies without even realizing it. You can often see it physically:
- tension in the jaw
- puffiness
- inflammation
- shallow breathing
- headaches
- tight shoulders
- skin that suddenly becomes reactive or dull
The nervous system and the skin are deeply connected.
That is why many of my rituals focus not only on corrective skincare, but also on helping the body soften through intentional touch, lymphatic flow, sculpting, scalp release, buccal massage, grounding, and relaxation.
Because true radiance does not come from force.
It comes from restoration.
I think one of the most overlooked parts of skincare is the experience itself.
How someone feels during a treatment matters.
Feeling calm matters.
Feeling safe matters.
Feeling cared for matters.
Sometimes clients fall asleep during their rituals.
Sometimes they become emotional.
Sometimes they tell me it was the first time all week they stopped thinking.
And honestly, that means just as much to me as the visible glow afterward.
At Sol Aesthetics, my goal has never been to simply perform a facial.
I want every treatment to feel like a reset for the body, mind, and skin.
A moment to slow down.
Reconnect.
Release tension.
And remember what it feels like to be cared for intentionally.
That is the energy behind every ritual I create.
Because beauty was never meant to feel rushed.
